How to get to Ubud
Denpasar’s Ngurah Rai International Airport is the main airport for Bali. A range of international carriers, most with an Asian base, fly into Denpasar including Qatar Airways and Malaysia Airlines.
After you have your bags head to the official taxi office desk. A taxi from Denpasar Airport to Ubud will take about one hour and should cost around USD$20. Do check with your hotel as they may well be able to offer a better rate.
How to get around Ubud
Cycling is one of the easiest and nicest ways to get around Ubud. It is easy to get to the best places to visit in Ubud on two wheels. There are many places in the centre of Ubud to hire a bike.
Ubud is also filled with local drivers so most tourists take taxis everywhere. The cost is generally quite inexpensive.

The temperature in Ubud is quite steady across the year. The warmest times to visit tend to be November, December and April. July to September tend to be the dry season and are considered by most to be the best time of year to visit Ubud.
Do you need a Visa for Bali?
Residents of most countries, including the USA, UK and Australia, will have to get a visa for Bali. However, you can obtain the Visa once you land at Denpasar airport – it isn’t necessary to get it ahead of time.
At the time of writing this post, the cost of the Indonesian visa was US$25 and it was required to be paid in cash.
