I must be honest — Las Vegas is scorching in August. It’s sunny, dry, and the heat is quite intense. With average high temperatures ranging from 99°F to 104°F (37°C-40°C), you’ll definitely feel the burn.
But on the bright side, rainfall is minimal. There might be the occasional rain shower, but it is usually short-lived and a welcome break from the sun. Also, most establishments are air-conditioned, and you can always cool off with a refreshing dip in the hotel pool.
What to Pack for Las Vegas in August
If you’re planning on visiting Las Vegas in August, you’ll want to pack smart and light to beat the Nevada sun. Think lightweight shirts, sundresses, skirts, shorts, and anything that won’t weigh you down in the heat. Don’t forget a pair of jeans for those air-conditioned casinos and restaurants. And if you plan on exploring, bring some comfortable walking shoes.
