Arc de Triomphe

Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge that runs over the Seine River in Paris. The first stone of the bridge was laid by Henry III in 1578.

Place de La Concorde
During the French Revolution the square was renamed as for a time as the Place de la Revolution. This was where King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed.

The statue was built in 1889, three years after New York‘s Statue of Liberty. It is one-quarter of the size of the New York statue.
